Back in 2016 when we interviewed him the 1st time, before Jell Roll became a Country Superstar, he was a hip-hop guy from Nashville performing with a DJ & backup band that we compared to Yelawolf. What we understood then, when the power on his stage at the Rock music festival "Rock on the Range" in Columbus, Ohio, failed, was that Jelly Roll did not have just a hip hop voice. This man proved he was a great singer - without power.
