Beautiful Florida Keys on Jetskis

We explore the crystal clear, beautiful blue waters of Alligator Reef, in the Florida Keys on our Jetski's. The lighthouse which is a popular swimming hole were boats and jetskis park to hang out and swim. After we zip around the crystal blue water of the Florida Keys on our Jetskis, we stop in to check out the abandoned Indian Key and tell the history of the location.

Islamorada: This historic lighthouse off the east coast of Florida Keys was named after a pirate ship that sank in that location over a century ago. Today, the now decommissioned lighthouse marks the wreck of the ship and teems with marine life and corals in its crystal clear waters, making it a popular spot for snorkeling.

You can get up close to the lighthouse on a boat or jet ski, which sometimes also include stops at the nearby sand bars and other spots around Islamorada.

Alligator Reef Sanctuary Preservation Area (SPA) bridges the shallow reefs of the Upper Keys and the deeper reefs of the Middle Keys.

Indian: Indian Key is an island in the upper Florida Keys

Indians lived on Tea Table Key over 1,000 years ago. In 1722, it was known as Boys Island. In Dec., 1838, Lt. Coste established a Naval base here and named it Ft. Paulding. This was the base for the West Indian Squadron used to blockade the coast to keep the Indians from receiving supplies from the Bahamas or Cuba.

While the Navy was looking for Indians in the Everglades, the Indians attacked nearby Indian Key on Aug. 7, 1840 destroying the village and county seat of Dade County. Today the key is abandoned and there is a plaque honoring its history.
