On June 4, 2023, Senator Chuck Schumer, Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Queens Borough President Donovan Richards, and many New York City and State elected officials spoke and marched at the Queens Pride Parade & Multicultural Festival in Jackson Heights, along with parade founder Daniel Dromm.

The annual event is the second oldest and second largest pride parade in New York City, founded in 1993.
