Something to note I don't talk about much in this video is that you want your props to stay in the doorway. So when you make your fading doors, test them via advancedupe 2 and paste them with the unfreeze option ticked to see whether your dupe stays in the doorframe well.
The key to building is being creative while also understanding the mechanics behind building and what props can be good to use. Take a look at what others have for their fading doors and use them as framework/inspiration for what you can do for yours.

Remember, a prop won't spawn if you cant use the easy precision tool on it & if you copy any world entities like a shelf, camera, etc, you wont be able to spawn your dupe. edit the area copy size down or remove the world entity away from you.
