All of the End-Times prognosticators as well as the Traditional Interpreters of Isaiah 17 are completely in error. Every prophetic statement about Damascus in Isaiah 17, Amos 1, and Jeremiah 49 were fulfilled in the year AD 1400 by the Muslim warlord, Tamerlane. He slaughtered all the inhabitants and destroyed their cities.
