Thanks for tuning in today Addicts! Today were going to teach you a little something about back bouncing eggs or other baits for salmon, trout, and steelhead. Backbouncing can be done from an anchored boat, on the move, or sometimes it can be done from the bank as well. In faster water, like Jordan is fishing today he likes to sit on anchor and back bounce the eggs behind the boat. Send the presentation down until it hits bottom. Be sure to use enough weight so the presentation sits in one spot. If you use to small of lead your bait will go down river too far.

Once the bait has sat on the bottom for a couple seconds, lift it off the bottom a foot or two, then free spool the line as you slowly drop the rod tip. What your doing here is letting the current carry the bait downstream a little bit. You continue doing this as far of a distance as your comfortable with. The bouncing action of the eggs creates movement in the bait, but it also releases scent from the eggs to attract the salmon, trout, or steelhead in.
