Door Bearings | Airbus Helicopters
In this 13 minute video we look at the the pilot door hinge bearings and the clamshell door hinge bearings. They are the same. We review how to replace the bearings with the claw ring. Then we dig in to where to find the part numbers and review the maintenance manual and MTC. These are on the Airbus EC 135 and EC 145 helicopters.
This is an easy job. If your machine has been flying for a long time and you have not looked at this ever, then take a quick look. In the EMS field these doors are used every day even if there are no flights. This is a highly used item and if not inspected, will wear out in a few years.
