Elden Ring (エルデンリング Eruden Ringu?) is a third-person action role-playing video game developed by FromSoftware and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment. The game is a collaborative project between director Hidetaka Miyazaki and fantasy novelist George R.R. Martin. It was released on February 25, 2022 for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S.

In Elden Ring, players freely roam the interactive open world, where gameplay elements include combat, with various types of weapons and magic spells, horseback riding and crafting.

The video game received critical acclaim, with praise being directed towards its gameplay and open-world design. The game has sold over 17.5 million copies worldwide as of the end of September 2022.[1] Elden Ring won the Golden Joystick Award for Game of the Year in 2022 and The Game Awards in the same category also in 2022 (including three other awards).
