Eric Coates was a British composer, famous for his contribution to light orchestral music. Some of his most famous pieces include "By the Sleepy Lagoon", which is perhaps better known as the theme music for the Desert Island Discs radio show, and "The Dam Busters March", which was featured in the film of the same name.
