Set your mind on heavenly things

Romans 8:7
" the mind set on the flesh is hostile toward God; for it does not subject itself to the law of God, for it is not even able to do so"

People who focus their energy, money, and talents on worldly things don't care about the cares of God. They subject themselves to the whims of the world following in false doctrines and remain steadfastly in bondage and mental strongholds they never realize have bound them and prevent them from seeing the truth.
