Marcel Lazar 1.0 was the original "Gucifer." He based his name on Lucifer. He was a hacker who was trying to expose what he called the "Illuminati." He was arrested. Later, "Gucifer 2.0" followed up on his efforts. Gucifer 2.0 became famous in the indictments by the Department of Justice of the "Russian hackers." Gucifer 2.0 was not identified in the indictments, but many people believe his name was Seth Rich.
