How so many get "Love Your Neighbor as Yourself" so wrong!

I'm sure all of you have heard the expression "love your neighbor as yourself" and think it means don't judge, be kind, be nice in other words a typical Canadian. However that's not it at all, like so many things that we take out of context that results in us losing the content this is no different.
