Colorful journey of nomadic herders​​​​​​​ in Türkiye’s Black Sea region

In the Black Sea region, the highland journey of livestock breeders has begun in a festive atmosphere.
The breeders, who have been migrating to the highlands with the arrival of June for centuries in the region, have completed their migration preparations this year.
Preparing their local clothes known as sashes, loincloths, "bush dresses, and vests" days in advance, women decorate their animals with colorful materials such as evil eye, necklaces, nosepieces, eyebrows, and horns.
The breeders, who set off for the plateau at sunrise, start their hard work.
Due to the geographical conditions, the breeders do not leave their animals for a moment and rest their animals at certain intervals during the journey.
