Kyle Overmyer was elected Sheriff of Sandusky County located in Ohio. After dealing with a long term inflammation disorder Kyle became addicted to pain medications. He used his position as Sheriff to help feed his addiction. The medicine helped numb the pain from life in law enforcement and everyday stress.
Kyle was eventually indicted by a grand jury for 42 related felony drug charges. He eventually pleaded guilty to 12 counts, was sentenced and served 4 years in prison. Kyle has turned his dark circumstances around for the good. He has not found his true passion to help those that are struggling with addiction. Kyle has been sober for 6 years!!!! He works in recovery, a motivational speaker, and advocate for first responders, through KO (Knock Out) Addiction LLC.
