take 2 table of soil and mix 1/2 cup white vinegar. if it fizzes soil is alkaline.
take 2 tablespoons of soil moisten with distilled water...add 1/2 cup of baking soda...if soil fizzes the soil is acidic.

for natural aeration of roots...mix 3% hydrogen peroxide in a 1:20 ratio with water...so 3/4 cups hydrogen peroxide with water to equal one gallon... pour on roots...if it gets on plant that is okay...
