I worked years ago (around 2012 and 2013) with Adam Murphy of CBS Atlanta News in cracking down on a scam 'prize' company out of Atlanta GA that scammed my mom, and many elderly folks with a fake 'you won $5000' postcard mailer. If you have been scammed, try not to get upset with yourself and definitely don't show upset at the person who scammed you, but please report them to authorities so someone else doesn't get hurt.

Global Capital Trading (https://globalcaptrading.com/ ) is now down. This was Jeff Allan Skodak's (aka Jeff D'Angelo or Jeff DAngelo or Geoff DAngelo) latest scam, posing as a loan company. Mr. Skodak is a career con artist out of the Detroit, Michigan area.

Mr. Skodak has been at least twice featured on the 'Hall of Shame' by Rob Wolchek of FOX News 2 in Detroit over the years:

If you have been scammed out of money, check with your bank or credit card company in disputing the charges and see if they can get reversed.

If you lost money by paying through a money order or cash, still file a report as money in some cases can be reimbursed if authorities create a settlement when a large number of people have been scammed. Also check with your insurance carrier (home owner's insurance).

I reported Mr. Skodak to the following agencies and I encourage you to do the same if you have been a victim of a scam, or someone you know has been scammed. (I did NOT tell him I was reporting him).

The Attorney General's consumer complaint department where the scammer resides, if known. In this case, Michigan.

Internet fraud: https://www.ic3.gov

Alignable.com - their customer support once I had enough info to give them so they could do their own investigation. They removed 2 profiles Jeff posted (duplicates of the same company) for lying about being a Michigan incorporated and licensed company.
