Fairfield County Council Public Comments 6.12.23

On June 12, 2023 Fairfield County Council held a public meeting that covered multiple topics including the new proposed millage increase and a road maintenance fee. Multiple citizens flocked to this meeting to observe and voice their opinions.

Fairfield County Council has been under the spotlight recently due to its long history of corruption and financial mismanagement. Because of this, two of the former county council members lost their election and were replaced with members that ran on transparency and accountability. Now, citizens are worried that the new county council are beginning to act like the old county council by continuing to raise taxes without looking at the real problems Fairfield County is experiencing.
