DRUZHINA (2015)--TV series, parts 1&2. In Russian with English subtitles.

These are the first two episodes of 8-part adventure television series about the Novgorod warriors of the XIII century. These were the DRUZHINA (companions) of the ailing Prince and the influential archbishop of the principality/republic. The men defended it against threats such as brigands, pagans, crusaders and Mongols. The main goal of the DRUZHINA was to find the young successor prince, Alexander who would gain the name of Nevsky. The series' alternative English title is VIKINGS.
