What are you passionate about? What are you good at? What problems can you solve for others? Once you have a business idea, you need to do your research to make sure there is a market for your product or service.

* **A business plan.** This is a document that outlines your business goals, strategies, and financial projections. It will help you stay on track as you start and grow your business.

* **A domain name and web hosting.** Your domain name is your online address, and web hosting is the service that stores your website's files and makes them accessible to visitors.
* **A website (aka sales funnel).** Your website is your online storefront, so it's important to design it well and make sure it's easy to use. You can either build your own website or use a website builder like WordPress or Wix. Or use the platform that I use, which has full features for the cost of just about one meal a month.

* **Marketing and sales.** Once you have a website, you need to start driving traffic to it. This can be done through search engine optimization (SEO), pay-per-click (PPC) advertising, social media marketing, or other channels. You also need to have a sales process in place to convert visitors into customers.

* **Funding.** Depending on your business idea, you may need to raise money to get started. There are a number of ways to do this, including bootstrapping (which is what i chose to do, that’s why I picked a platform with low recurring costs), crowdfunding, or seeking angel or venture capital investment.

* **Legal and accounting needs.** As your business grows, you'll need to take care of legal and accounting matters. This may include registering your business with the local regulatory body, obtaining licenses and permits, and hiring an accountant.
