The main dome restoration works in the Selimiye Mosque have been completed

The work on the main dome of the Selimiye Mosque, which underwent extensive restoration by the Regional Directorate of Foundations in Edirne, has been completed.
The restoration works, which started in November 2021 in order to carry Mimar Sinan's "masterpiece" Selimiye Mosque safely into the future, continue simultaneously inside and outside.
Teams carried out meticulous work for the restoration of the main dome, one of the most important parts of the mosque.
While the lead in the domes was removed and renewed, the main dome realm was also cleaned. The repaired realm was covered with gold leaf.
After the renewal of the bullets and the attachment of the realm, the small repair works in the dome were completed and the works in this section were completed.
