Some KInd of Wonderful Happy

Everybody thinks Some Kind of Wonderful was the Grand Funk Railroad's song and while they did it and had a hit with it, theirs was only a copy of the original by the Soul Brothers Six who first did it in 1967. So the Mayor goes with the original and then throws in his favorite group of all time, The Tower of Power to compliment it and there you have today's Segue City Special. The TOP song is like the original too in tone, flavor and lyrics but isn't a copy... but it does make a good segue so chalk one up for the old man...

Segue City is a recurring short-form programming element. At some point it will be a part of "The Big Kahuna." That’s an Internet Radio format that’s a part of Global Entertainment Technology that was created by Dain L. Schult.

It revives the art of mixing two songs together in a seamless pattern where it is tough to tell where the first song ended and the second one began. Sometimes the segues may also revolve around thematic ideas like matching or similar song titles.

Other times there are hidden meanings and Easter Eggs in the mix as well. We'll try anything because no two Segue City Specials will ever be exactly the same...
