#11 White Pass & Yukon Route Railway

The White Pass & Yukon Route Railway is an amazing day trip departing from Skagway, Alaska. The 3-hour journey winds its way up through the mountains and reaches an elevation of 2,888 feet. Along the way, you will see stunning views of the Coast Mountains. You will also pass through several tunnels and over several trestles. The train ride is a great way to see the scenery and learn about the history of the area. The railway was Completed in 1900 to transport gold miners to the Klondike gold rush.
