This is a bit of an unusual video, but since I am not only interested in roman history, but also in movies, I thought it might be a good idea to explore some movies set in the late Roman Empire, the era of the Roman Empire, which is the main focus of this channel. Because we know that there is a vast prodominance of movies that take place in the late Roman Republic, and the early Roman Empire. We have seen countless movies about Caeasar, or about Augustus, when Rome was in its prime. But what about the later Roman Empire, when the good times were already over, when the decline would start to set in? Are there any good movies set in that fascinating period, which is of utmost interest to myself and to anyone interested in the late roman empire?
