A Merry Heart (Proverbs 15:13, 15)

Having a heart that is merry does not imply excessively naïve optimism. It involves trusting God's promises and dealing with the hurts, frustrations, and sorrows of life with a confidence that God cares for you and will do what He has said. Some people (including Christians) allow themselves to get bitter and stop believing that people can, with God's help, change and do good. Faithful servants of God maintain a glad heart and let it show to those around them.
