System of a down - Mezmerize

System of a Down (also known as SOAD or simply System) is an American heavy metal band formed in Glendale, California, in 1994. All members of System of a Down are of Armenian descent, being born to Armenian immigrants or being immigrants themselves.

In 2005 they definitely announced the release of a double album, which would be called Mezmerize and Hypnotize, however, it would be a double album, but different, because it would be released in two parts, one in May and one in November.

The albums are linked in a way, because joining the booklet of the two forms a unique design, the opening song of Mezmerize is "Soldier Side - Intro" and the closing song of Hypnotize is "Soldier Side", thus making the link between them.
