Double Mugging - 2021 White Deer Rodeo | Saturday

When you have three cowpokes and only one horse out on the ranch and you have a steer or cow that needs doctoring, the ranch hands have to resort to mugging the cattle to get their doctoring done This entails getting the animal laid down and immobilizing at least three legs so they don't get kicked while doing the doctoring. This event simulates that chore without actual doctoring. The clock stops when the legs are tied. Thus rodeo skills reflect working ranch skills. #Rodeo #DoubleMugging #UPRA

The annual rodeos in White Deer, Texas are put on by the United Professional Rodeo Association (UPRA). The White Deer rodeo is held at White Deer Rodeo Grounds and hosted by Flying C Rodeo Company. The rodeo is sanctioned by the CPRA, KPRA, UPRA, & WPRA professional rodeo associations.
