Words of Encouragement, June 19 2023, Ep 645

BURIED WITH HIM ~ Colossians 2:12, Romans 6:4

Colossians 2:12 ~ "Buried with Him in baptism, in which you also were raised with Him through faith in the working of God, who raised Him from the dead."

Romans 6:4 ~ "Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life."

FULFILL ALL RIGHTEOUSNESS ~ Matthew 3:13-17
"Then Jesus came from Galilee to John at the Jordan to be baptized by him. And John tried to prevent Him, saying, 'I need to be baptized by You, and are You coming to me?' But Jesus answered and said to him, 'Permit it to be so now, for thus it is fitting for us to fulfill all righteousness.' Then he allowed Him. When He had been baptized, Jesus came up immediately from the water; and behold, the Heavens were opened to Him, and He saw the Spirit of God descending like a Dove and alighting upon Him. And suddenly a voice came from Heaven, saying, 'This is My Beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.'"

REPENT AND BE BAPTIZED ~ Acts 2:37-39
"Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do? Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call."

TWO SHALL BECOME ONE ~ Genesis 2:23-24, Mark 10:6-9, Ephesians 5:30-32

Genesis 2:23-24 ~ "And Adam said: 'This is now bone of my bones And flesh of my flesh; She shall be called Woman, Because she was taken out of Man.' Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and they shall become one flesh."

Mark 10:6-9 ~ "But from the beginning of the creation, God ‘made them male and female.’ ‘For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh’; so then they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let not man separate.”

Ephesians 5:30-32 ~ "For we are members of His body, of His flesh and of His bones. 'For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh.' This is a great mystery, but I speak concerning Christ and the church."

HE CARRIED THEM ~ Isaiah 63:8-10
"For He said, 'Surely they are My people, children that will not lie: so He was their Saviour. In all their affliction He was afflicted, and the Angel of His Presence saved them: in His Love and in His pity He redeemed them; and He bare them, AND CARRIED THEM all the days of old. But they rebelled, and vexed His Holy Spirit: therefore He was turned to be their enemy, and He fought against them."
