They don’t want to “affirm” you. They don’t want us to “tolerate.”

We largely misunderstand “tolerance” today. From its Latin root, “tolerance” refers to suffering through something that one necessarily finds objectionable, bad, or evil. If one is culturally and socially NOT ALLOWED to find that thing objectionable, bad, or evil, then it’s not “tolerance.” It’s merely indifference or affirmation.
The left preaches “affirmation” and “tolerance,” but these “virtues” don’t extend to everyone; this “salvation” isn’t available to all. It’s impossible to affirm everyone’s identity as true. “Live and let live” may sound kind of nice, but it has necessary limits within a functioning society. Everyone cannot have his own truth, and expect everyone else to abide by it. That is chaos. Which is what we see today.
