One of the serious challenges facing Hollywood now that it is trying to return to profitability is to fix an entire level of middle managers. Today, we focus on the Development Department. In Development, projects are taken from concept through the start of production. This can include adapting novels, news articles, magazine pieces, short stories, plays, and novels to the screen, but is most focused on taking and forming screenplays into finished movies and TV series.
