Knife Making. How to make Thatched or Scalloped blade texture with an angle grinder. This is an easy DIY knife making project. We started with a knife blank from www.DIYeasycrafts.com used a angle grinder with a flap sanding wheel to grind the grooves and then a cut off wheel to make deeper finer lines. All this is done prior to heat treating which brings out dark carbonization. Check out this short video which details every step of the build, to see just how easy it is to make a similar rustic drop point or Cleaver knife.
