How to make a knife with a dark scalloped blade texture. This rustic looking blade texture was actually very easy to create. Check out this short video to see exactly how this knife was made.This project starts with a knife blank which was made from 1095 high carbon steel. The blade surface is ground into scallops before heat treating. The rough bevel are also ground before heat treating. After the blade is heat treated the lower indentations are darkened leaving a forged rustic textured blade. Check out this short video to see just how easy it is to make this knife.
