Blinken OKs China Takeover Of Taiwan!!!, 4123

Terrible news from China this week. Secretary of State Tony Blinken has given the official wink and a nod to Communist China to take over Nationalist China – or Taiwan.

U.S. foreign policy for many decades has been deliberately vague on defending Taiwanese independence. The U.S. promotes the maintenance of peace and stability in the Taiwan Strait and opposes any unilateral actions that could alter that status quo.

In addition, the U.S. has a longstanding commitment to Taiwan's security and has provided Taiwan with defensive weapons and assistance under the provisions of the Taiwan Relations Act. The United States also conducts regular arms sales to Taiwan to help maintain its self-defense capabilities.

However, on May 22, Biden announced that the U.S. would intervene militarily to defend Taiwan, proclaiming that the U.S. commitment to the defense of Taiwan has become even stronger after Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
