According to the UNHCR As of 21 May 2023, verified civilian casualties in the country amounted to 24,012, including 8,895 killed. Not officially naming the New Russian territories. Russian Minister of Defense Sergei Shoigu said that retaliation will come when Kiev attacks Crimea with Western weapons.
