Here is another landmark sketching video, this time we are sketching 'Tyne Bridge' in Newcastle.

This is actually from a photo I took when I was there a few weeks ago, and I loved the view and contrasts looking up the river so, of course, couldn't resist sketching it!

The sketch, this time, is done with a quick pencil framework, but adding and layering our colours on top.

I'll take you step by step through my processes, and in particular we will talk a lot about how and why I make decisions on simplification of my painting. To make life manageable, and the make the painting more effective and more achievable!
