Is Your Salvation Dependent on Race?

In Paul's day, there were many who taught that one needed to become a good Jew before they could become a Christian. Today, while we recognize that it is important to understand the identity of the modern descendants of the nation of Israel, the questions occasionally arises, "Is salvation dependent on race or ethnicity?" Sadly, it is not difficult to find instances of individuals twisting scripture in an attempt to justify or promote racist ideology. On the most important issue, that of salvation, scripture makes clear that one's ethnicity is not a determining factor. The Bible clearly states that God does not show partiality and that he expects the same from each of His followers.
