When it's between you and the other contractor

What do you do when a homeowner says it's between you and the other contractor? You know, I'm doing this video because Adamir, he just messaged me on Instagram and I said, you know, this is a really good question and, and it comes up a lot, so I wanna help. Now, Adamir asked further. He says, is it appropriate to send a gift?

Which is a really legitimate question, but in my opinion, this is not the time to send a gift, because that can make it seem like you're trying to buy someone's business, and it's not a time to sell, because then you're basically just sitting there not listening to the customer.

So instead, we need to learn what does that customer need what's important to them. And the only way to find out is by asking questions. So this is the perfect time to ask questions. Like I completely understand, and I'm honored to be in the running to become the contractor of choice. And I want you guys to be comfortable. May I ask, what's the most important thing to you when it comes to selecting a contractor?

And another follow-up question might be, What does the decision making process look like for you and your wife? And another one, if money were no object, how would you choose which contractor is best for you? And then you can speak to their core concern and win the business.
