Everyone has a different perspective on things.

But we often take things not as they are, but as we are. Being able to take somebody else’s perspective is crucial and helps with conflict resolution at work and home. It also helps you interact with customers and motivate your people.

Seeing things from outside your perspective is crucial. Put yourself in the opposite perspective and try to understand if that person’s point of view has a point.

One of the best ways to do this is to focus on the issue at hand and not so much on the person who disagreed with you.

Look at it objectively.
