Whom By Fire was set to perform at the Leigh Folk Festival this week, until organizers pulled them from the line-up last minute, claiming a band member made social media comments that are "not keeping with their values." Leigh Folk festival did not specify to the band or the public what those comments were, and did not follow their own policy of giving a confirmed act the right to reply. Keri Smith has a conversation with Dan and Elyza about the Festival's cultish behavior, the chilling effects of Cancel Culture on the Arts, and about free expression and creativity. Whom by Fire are a Southend based duo who write their own material and their sound has been described as "from a whisper to a roar."
