Draining the Swamp - Catching Fish with My Hands

I built this natural-style pond (sandbags and clay) over two years ago. Because there is a slow drain, I am able to keep it oxygenated by having my well water fill it up regularly, but there is still a certain amount of slime that just builds up over time, so I did what I needed to do and bought a pump to drain the swamp and fill it back up. Now, I still didn't drain it all the way because there are fish in it, but I got enough out that if I do this at least once a month, we should be in good shape.
