Lusitano Strutting His Stuff

During a cruise stop in the Azores, we got to go to this amazing stable which breeds and raises Lusitanos. It has been in the family for generations.

The training doesn't begin until they are 3 - 4 years old, and lasts at least 3 - 4 years, though it's an ongoing kind of thing. This beautiful boy was super sweet, and his rider, the son of the couple who owns the farm, was just as kind. Great day!
