Christians AGREE with Moroni 8:18...why don't Mormons?
Many Latter-day Saints agree with LDS Prophet Joseph Smith — that God was once a man like us, and that he’s progressed to godhood...but why don’t Latter-day Saints agree with their own Scriptures?
A verse in the Book of Mormon, Moroni 8:18, says "For I know that God is not a partial God, neither a changeable being; but he is unchangeable from all eternity to all eternity." Christians agree with Moroni 8:18, so why don't Mormons?
The Book of Mormon says that God cannot change, and that He's eternally been God—which agrees with the testimony of the Bible! And yet, the Mormon Church (The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints) disagrees with their OWN Scriptures.
The Bible says that eternal life is knowing God, and thus grasping who God is remains a crucial issue. Here’s the real question: who has GOD revealed Himself to be? Christians agree with this Book of Mormon verse because it summarizes what the Bible clearly states—God does not change.
Happy Moroni 8:18 day! We agree with that verse -- and want our Mormon neighbors to also!
