A Night in the Show is a silent comedy film released in 1915 and starring Charles Chaplin. The movie follows Chaplin as he plays two roles, portraying two spectators at a music-hall show. The film offers several humorous moments while providing a captivating glimpse into the world of old-fashioned theater entertainment.

This was Chaplin's 12th film for Essanay Studios and was shot at Majestic Studio in Los Angeles during the fall of 1915. In A Night in the Show, Chaplin takes on the characters of Mr. Pest and Mr. Rowdy. The story was adapted from Chaplin's stage work in a play called "Mumming Birds" (also known as "A Night at an English Music Hall" in the USA), which he had previously performed with the Karno Company from London. Incorporating elements from his stage play, Chaplin brings his comedic talent to the world of cinema. Edna Purviance also appears in the film, playing a minor role as a lady in the audience.

The synopsis of the film revolves around Mr. Pest, who tries out various seats in the theater before getting into a fight with the conductor and eventually involving the entire cast of the evening variety show.
