Afshin Rattansi challenges him on the Russia-NATO proxy conflict in Ukraine and during the interview Sir Tony Brenton admits NATO did not pay enough attention to Russia’s security concerns, the fact that US-UK-EU sanctions have not had their desired effect in collapsing Russia and that Ukraine shares most of the blame for the failure of the Minsk Agreements which could have prevented the war from breaking out.
