He explains "The Ratchet Effect" and how Republicans exist to turn policy to the right, while Democrats exist to siphon off political dissent and to prevent movement back to the left. He explains how the corrupt nature of liberal democracy will prevent forward movement politically, and explains how bourgeois democracy is purposefully engineered to deny the people political power. He advocates for building coalition of working people capable of overturning liberal democracy with the intention of building something new and more equitable.
