Maiden Flight - E-flite UMX Waco RC Plane with AS3X

This is my maiden flight for the brand new E-flite UMX Waco RC Plane with AS3X and a 2S brushless motor from Horizon Hobby.

In this video I do my best to fly my Waco when some wind out of no where picked up and made the landing very challenging. My girlfriend also recorded most of this video. This was her first RC Plane video recording RC Flight and I am very proud of her!

I tested the air before I took it up with my other ultra micro biplane or "bipe", the E-Flite UMX Pitts S-1S.

Here is a list of pros and cons for this UMX RC Biplane:

Cons
- Its stickers were not applied very well
- The elevator has some asymmetry issues
- It does not handle wind very well

Pros
- Looks great in the air and on the ground
- Nice size
- 2S brushless power
- Well built landing gear

I have to say that over the years the three best UMX RC Planes have been the E-flite UMX Pitts, the E-flite UMX Radian, and the E-flite UMX Timber. All three are the best at what they do IMO.

It is pretty amazing how far this channel has come since making this video. These days John and I are flying high performance EDF Jets like my E-flite Viper and Freewing BAe Hawk, but it is still nice to mix in planes like this along with the new E-flite Night Radian Glider.
