Indeed, pondering how trust is earned can be a valuable exercise.
Trust is often built through consistent and reliable actions that align with one's words, actions, and intentions. It involves being provable, honest, keeping promises, and demonstrating competence and expertise in a particular area. As I have said in this how many times – Building trust requires: active listening, empathy, and understanding, which contribute to establishing meaningful connections with others. Ultimately, trust is a gradual process that grows over time as people observe and experience the reliability and integrity of one another.

Trust is closely tied to truth. Truthfulness is a fundamental element in building - maintaining trust. When someone consistently tells the truth and acts in a truthful manner, it establishes a foundation of trust. Provable Truthfulness creates confidence. Trust is often eroded when there is a provable breach of trust, such as dishonesty or deception.
