Darkest Dungeon 2 | An Addictive Strategy Roguelike Masterpiece
Hello Im Skill Incarnate and Welcome to My Games Review Series.
My reviews cover indie games that i have bought, had gifted to me and have been provided by developers for review.
In this episode I check out the second entry in the cult classic Darkest Dungeon Series with Darkest Dungeon 2. Darkest Dungeon 2 was developed by Red Hook Studios, taking place in the same Apocalyptic world as the original game. The player once again takes on the role of a nobleman commanding a squad of morally dubious mercenaries. Youll travel across a dying world, testing your skills against bloodthirsty bandits, deadly beasts and eldritch horrors in a desperate effort to avert an Apocalyptic end to the last of the human race.
The game has a mix of brutal fast paced turn based tactical combat, challenging Party Management with hard decisions and a unforgiving roguelike difficulty that will require a more than a few attempts to conquer. The games character building and lore was fascinating and players dont have to complete the first Darkest Dungeon to enjoy this entry in the series, however i highly recommend that you play the first game prior to attempting this sequel.
Please note: All opinions in this video are my own. Game was provided by the developer for review purposes
