“War took... took a lot. I lost most of my friends by there. I was broken”, says Rami Samaan, who served in the Syrian army for more than 10 years. Rami lost nine of his friends in a sudden terrorist attack. He thought he lost the sense of brotherhood and support they had given him during the fights forever. Knowing that a human life is fragile and can end any minute, he came up with an unconventional idea and “befriended” a volleyball he'd found on a school ground. How did this friendship help him live through the trauma?
