CHOOSING KINDNESS AND LOVE OVER HOSTILITY AND HATE

27 “But I say to you who hear: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you,

GOOD EVENING IN YESHUA DEAR FRIENDS!!!
Who is your enemy? Who do you dislike? These are questions that I will admit are in my mind right now, and even though I can't specifically think of an enemy or someone I dislike right now, I know that there are a lot of people out there, who despise Jesus, and hate Christians, and I have to ask myself how would I respond to them? Would I be like Dan, who continually reached out in friendship and kindness to the very prison guard that beat him, or would I respond in an equally an even worse fashion? I think that's why this morning scripture, as well as these questions from this morning's devotional are so heavy on my heart right now, and I'd like to share them with you tonight. Please read these questions very carefully, and I pray that God will challenge your heart on this.

What kind of act might you do today to “heap burning coals” on your enemy's head?

How might you pray specifically for them?

I know, the first thing that would come to anybody's mind is why in the world would I want to pray for my enemy? Why would I want to show any kind of love, kindness, or compassion to them? Easy, because it's the right thing to do. Jesus was the first one to say that we are to love our enemies, and to do good to those who hate us. However, as I've stated so many times before this doesn't mean that we allow ourselves to be someone’s emotional and/or physical punching bag. We are allowed to seek justice, when someone does something criminal to us, but at the same time, we want to do so in a way that honors God.

What I would like to do, right now, my friends, is share some things that God showed me from His Word concerning these verses, as well as a few others, through this vlog I'd like to share with all of you tonight, and I pray that what I share with you, will challenge your heart to want to show kindness over hostility, and love over hate. My prayer for all of you, my friends, as I close this post with all of you tonight, is that you will ask God to show you ways in which you can show kindness and love to others over hostility and hate. I especially pray that you will be willing to show and express God’s love, compassion, and mercy to those who hate God and Christianity, so they see the REAL Jesus in us! To be an extension of God’s grace and show His love and mercy to all we encounter, even the ones who hate and despise you!! Remember that the kindness of Jesus is strong enough to change any heart, so don't be afraid to share that!
