This book is a Eulogy or a sad poem read at a funeral. And the funeral is for the Capitol City of God’s people, Jerusalem. Probably the main lesson of the book is that sin brings destruction, on both a personal and national level. Though this book is historically about the fall of the Kingdom of Judah, it is a warning for America today, what will happen to us, if we do not cease from our national sins – Abortion, Homosexual Marriage, and all sorts of wickedness.
